We are thrilled to announce that USA based coaches Don Showalter and Joe Mantegna will be running a FREE coaching clinic directly after #DENGTOP50 on Saturday 23rd August at Crystal Palace Sports Centre, London. The coaching clinic will give UK Coaches an insight into how Coach Showalter runs his USA practices as well as Joe Mantegna showing skill development drills he uses at Blair Academy. In addition to this, both Coaches will be on hand to answer questions and go over some requests from attendees. A truly amazing opportunity for coaches here in the UK and it’s FREE of charge!

KDP_10200145-680x1024Coach Mantegna arrived at Blair in 1999 and has built Blair into a national prep school basketball powerhouse.
-Record 267-110, including eight of the last 14 MAPL league titles (2000-2003, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2012) and 13 trips to the NJ Prep A State Finals, including State Titles in 2009, 2011 & 2014.
-Blair was the only school in the country to put two players (Luol Deng and Charlie Villanueva) in the 2003 McDonald’s All-American Game.
-Five Blair alums have played in the NCAA Final Four, 38 former Blair players have ended up on Division I rosters in the last 15 years, and over a dozen are currently playing college basketball, while three are in the NBA (Royal Ivey, Luol Deng and Charlie Villanueva).
The Star Ledger named Blair Academy’s 2001 team as the “NJ Prep Team of the Year.”
-In 2000, Mantegna was named the New Jersey State Prep School “Coach of the Year” by The Star Ledger, and The Blairstown Press named him “2002 Boy’s Warren County Coach of the Year.”
-Before arriving at Blair, Mantegna served as an assistant coach at four colleges in an eight-year span including three years at both Boston University and Lehigh University.
