The NBA delivered a Jnr NBA Clinic to over 30 inspiring basketball players at DENG Academy in Brixton as part of their recent partnership and NBA Global Games taking place in London this week.

IMG_3977The clinic was led by ex NBA Coach Neal Meyer and 3-time NBA Champion Bruce Bowen (both pictured) teaching the fundamentals of the game with high intensity. The clinic also taught all participants the key values of the NBA such as teamwork, leadership, respect and positive attitude.

DENG Academy’s Head Coach Ronnie Baker was thrilled to be apart of it and echoed how important these types of clinic are in the UK.

“You could see how much the kids enjoyed today. Bruce Bowen was so good with teaching the drills and then his Q&A talking about his life with the Spurs and the importance of teamwork. This is what I stress to the DENG Academy kids all the time about playing hard, smart and together which I know will stay with them even more after he paid tribute to this on winning those championships.” – Ronnie Baker

We would like to thank the NBA for putting on such a great clinic for our kids and look forward to many more to come in the near future!
